A day of two halves.

Working with the first years on the Outdoor Tourism degree today and it was the first climbing day on the course for them all. With a group of mixed abilities and a mixed forecast Jo, Al and myself took the group to the Ice factor to cover the key skills of belaying and tying in. For some this was not a problem as they already had their first trad leads under their belt or were very close to it.
Al and Jo stayed in the dry and I took a team of 5 back to Glen Nevis were we covered placing gear, building anchors and for a couple of guys, one who is working towards a CWA ass and one who already has his SPA we looked at rescues. Same again tomorrow with the other half of the year but it should be dry tomorrow.
James being 'very' supportive of  Mark during his rescue.
