I was working for Hebridean Pursuits this weekend with a group of 4 from the University of Manchester Mountaineering club on an intro to mountaineering course. With most of the guys having a good amount of experience with rock anchors already from summer climbing we decided to look at snow anchors on the Saturday. It was a wild day to be out and as we walked into SCNL there were a few teams already making their way down due to the winds. The guys did well in the weather and were very quick to pick everything up so we did what we needed to do and then ran away.
Yesterday we made a mass ascent of Sron na Laraig looking at how they could protect themselves over the varying terrain that they might encounter on longer mountaineering routes. It was a busy day on the route with plenty of people taking advantage of the better weather. A big thanks to Stu and Tim for their help and unfortunately I didn't get any photos due to a number of errors on my part.
